Following the successful completion of the permitting process in July 2025, CRA officially commenced construction of Prague Gateway DC, one of the largest and most advanced technological facilities coming to Central and Eastern Europe.
During the first month of construction, the site slowly began to transform. Initial clearing and demolition works were at this point well underway, while preparations for the installation of the retaining walls and the site's sewage infrastructure also began. These early milestones laid the groundwork for the next phases of construction and marked the beginning of the site's transformation into a state-of-the-art data centre.
The project is being developed on an existing CRA property—a brownfield site formerly occupied by three AM radio transmitters. Repurposing this previously developed land significantly reduces the amount of demolition work typically required for projects of this scale, helping streamline the construction process and contributing to an estimated overall build time of approximately two years.
