Modern Data Centres: Key Digital Infrastructure

Data centres are the key infrastructure for the digital technologies on which our modern world depends. With ever-increasing volumes of data to process and storage, the demand for advanced data centres with greater capacity and more sophisticated technology is also growing.

Modern data centres allow for higher computing power in smaller amounts of space, which in turn requires more energy and effective cooling. As a result, operators must continuously optimise the design, performance, and efficiency of both existing and future data centres to meet growing digital demand sustainably.

CRA is currently developing Prague Gateway DC on a site formerly occupied by medium-wave radio transmitters—an infrastructure that consumed considerably more energy than modern broadcasting systems. Designed as a scalable and modular facility, Prague Gateway DC will provide efficient, secure, and sustainable digital infrastructure for Central and Eastern Europe, helping support the region's growing digital economy and strengthen its digital future.
